授業概要 | The goal of this course is to improve students’ daily and academic spoken and listening English communication abilities. Students learn to analyze and express their opinions about an issue of their choice by focusing on conversation and discussion strategies and roles in pair and group work as well as a language focus on vocabulary, collocations, and idioms. |

授業の方法 | The content and language-integrated learning method focuses on pair and group work to brainstorm and share ideas before choosing a topic for the academic task. Students analyze a particular issue from four levels (i.e., background, problem, solution, and opinion). Students spend one-hour completing preparation for each class. Feedback will be provided in class or online when assignments are returned. 語学教育の特性上、教育効果を高めるために、遠隔対応は原則として行わない。 |
履修条件 | ①英語習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、GRECで振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③「英語1」(前期)と「英語2」(後期)は同一教員による同一時限のクラスを履修すること。 ④卒業に必要な外国語科目として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科目を履修すること。 |

The book also has exercises and model paragraphs to guide students toward writing their sentences and paragraphs. The book has space for writing and the teacher will bring paper to each class to allow students to create a portfolio for each student. |
