授業の形態 | Due to the Corona virus, there will be no classes on campus for the fall term. Lesson will be conducted online real time with Zoom video conferencing application. Students will receive a link to join the video class one or two days prior to the lesson via Blackboard e-learning system. Instruction will be conducted in English and students are expected to participate in speaking tasks in English. Students will be able to practice role-plays and discussion activities in pairs or small groups using Zoom’s breakout rooms function. The lessons will follow the course syllabus using the course textbook, though students may have to occasionally download documents. 授業概要 | English 2 is designed to reinforce students' English language proficiency. The focus of this course is to enhance oral communication skills in English. |
授業のねらい・到達目標 | This course aims at enhancing students' oral communication skills. Primarily, students should develop the linguistic skills to both understand and produce verbal communication on general personal topics which express how one thinks and feel. In addition, students should improve both their aural and verbal fluency to understand and express basic facts about themselves as well as basic opinions they hold without hesitation. The goal of this course is to enhance these oral communication skills. この科目は文理学部のDP及びCPの2, 3, 6 に対応している。 |
授業の方法 | Classes focus on oral communication, which is the basic media of language. Students will be able to develop the ability to communicate orally and reduce their reliance on written language for understanding. The most important thing in this class is that students are exposed to the teacher's "living English" every class. As a general rule, classes are to e conducted in English, and students are to actively participate in the classes. |
履修条件 | ①英語習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、外国語教育センターで振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③「英語1」(前期)と「英語2」(後期)は同一教員による同一時限のクラスを履修すること。 ④卒業に必要な外国語科目として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科目を履修すること。 |
